Carrollton First Methodist is now an independent Methodist Church. Our current full members of Carrollton First UMC (which disaffiliated from the United Methodist Church and now no longer exists) are invited to become Charter Members of the new Carrollton First Methodist Church. Each current member who wishes to have their membership moved will have the opportunity to make an intentional commitment by taking the membership vows of Carrollton First Methodist Church.

The membership vows we will ask are:

  • Do you believe in God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit?

  • Do you confess Jesus Christ as Savior, put your whole trust in His grace, and promise to serve Him as your Lord?

  • Do you receive and profess the Christian faith as contained in the Scriptures?

  • Do you promise, according to the grace given you, to keep God’s holy will and commandments and walk in the same all the days of your life as a faithful member of Christ’s holy church?

  • Will you be a faithful member of the Carrollton First Methodist Church, and do all in your power to strengthen its ministries through your prayers, your presence, your gifts, your service, and your witness as Christ’s representative in this world?

Any guests of Carrollton First who wish to join Carrollton First Methodist Church will also have an opportunity to become Charter Members. This includes individuals who are transferring their membership from another church (any denomination) or joining by Profession of Faith which means they are not currently a member of another church. Those wishing to join our church must contact Alison Tanner, our Worship Coordinator. Anyone who wishes to join and has not been baptized will be baptized before they join. You can e-mail Alison or call at 770-832-7069 to discuss details and schedule a future date to join.

For our homebound members and members who worship remotely each week, we have an online form that may be completed to express your interest in transferring your membership to Carrollton First Methodist Church. Please use the link below to access our online transfer form.
